Having spent 23 successful years in business in the UK, Steve Hills, Blue Sky's Operations Director, decided to move to Corfu in Greece. The problems he faced in purchasing and renovating his own home on the island inspired him to seek a simpler solution for others. In partnership with Blue Sky's co-founder, Daniel Marshall, a period of intense research and problem solving followed. Here are the conclusions:

The opportunity is huge: the Greek Islands are dotted with unused, yet highly attractive traditional buildings. However, the purchase process is torturous. Most properties have multiple owners (a family tradition in Greece) and tracking them all down and getting their agreement to sell can be tedious, to say the least!

The solution: In partnership with a highly reputable law firm, we commit our own funds to acquire full title to every property before offering them for re-sale. Also, we ensure that all building permits, connections and licences are in place and provable. We own every property we offer for sale and can complete a re-sale in as little as 14 days!
